Frequently asked questions: data and privacy
Who sees which details, what is in emails, how do you make a privacy request?
Pflege Patienten arranges care without names and addresses of patients being stored in the portal. Here are the most frequent questions about it – with a short answer, steps and a link.
Who sees the details of a case or a request?
In short: suitable care providers in the region see the details of the needs – without name and without address. The portal only passes on contact details once an offer has been selected.
- When posting, enter only the needs, no names and no address.
- Select an offer when you want to get in touch; only then does the care provider see your contact details.
Does the portal store the names of patients?
In short: no. The portal does not ask for names, addresses, dates of birth or insurance numbers.
- If the portal detects such details in a free text, it points this out; remove them.
- Exchange the name and address directly with the care provider after the selection.
What is in the emails from the portal?
In short: no names and no addresses. Emails tell you that there is news.
- Click the link in the email.
- Sign in; you only see the details in the portal.
Can the operator see the details of a case?
In short: only with a documented reason, for example a support request, a privacy request, an error analysis or a legal obligation. Every access is logged with case number, time and reason; the log is kept for a limited time and then deleted.
- As an administrator or with the role “Audit/IT”, open Settings → Operator access log.
- Check the case number, time and reason of each access.
How do I make a privacy request?
In short: you request information, deletion or the revocation of a consent from the operator; the operator answers within the statutory periods.
- Read which details the request needs: Privacy requests
- Send the request to the operator.
