How do I register?

The process for care services, care providers, hospitals, practices and counselling services and for private individuals – from the account to the approval.

Registration is free and does not start a subscription. It starts on the sign-in page of the portal; on the website, Create an account leads there.

What it is for

With an account of your own you work in the portal: organisations post or accept cases, private individuals look for care for themselves or relatives. Each person has their own account – this keeps it traceable who did what.

Prerequisites and permissions

  • An email address, for organisations preferably the work address.
  • Organisations that offer care need an institution code (IK number).
  • If your organisation already works in the portal, do not create it again – ask its administrators to invite you to the team.

Step by step: organisations – care services, care facilities, hospitals, medical practices and counselling services

  1. On the sign-in page, click No account yet? Register now and create your personal account. In doing so you confirm the privacy notice and agree to the terms of use.
  2. Confirm your email address via the link in the email.
  3. Sign in and create your organisation: name, type, first location and the activities of the location – “Seek care (post care needs)”, “Offer care (accept patients)” or both. A location that offers care fills in the service profile before the approval.
  4. The operator first checks the details of your organisation and then approves the location. You receive an email each time.

Step by step: private individuals and relatives

  1. On the sign-in page, click Looking for care for yourself or a relative? Register here as a private individual and create your account.
  2. Confirm your email address and then add postcode, town and phone number. We do not need the street and house number; a display name is enough as a name.
  3. The operator checks your details and approves your account.

What happens next?

Whoever creates the organisation receives the role “Administration” and can invite the team straight away; every other person works with an account of their own. Organisations that post cases accept the data processing agreement (DPA) once; you find it in the portal under “Settings” → “Legal information”. For hospitals the second factor is mandatory at sign-in. Private individuals can post their care needs after the approval.

Typical scenarios

  • Home care service: create an account, create the organisation with IK number and the activity “Offer care”, fill in the service profile, wait for the approval.
  • Advice centre: create the organisation with the activity “Seek care”, accept the DPA, post the first case.
  • A daughter looks for care for her mother: register as a private individual, add the details, post the request after the approval.

Limits and common problems

  • No confirmation email – check your spam folder or request the email again on the sign-in page.
  • How long a registration that was not completed is kept is listed in How long do we keep what?.
  • Registering as a private individual is not meant for organisations; organisations register via “Register now”.
